The following screen elements are present whenever Your SOFTWARE is running:
The title bar displays the Your SOFTWARE Logo and name, and a description of the current view.
When Your SOFTWARE is the active window, the title bar will be dark blue. When another application is active, Your SOFTWARE's title bar will be grayed-out.
The Menu Bar contains commands which are important, but which are not frequently used.

The Tool Bar contains links to the most frequently used features of Your SOFTWARE.

The Function Bar contains tools and commands specific to the currently active work area.

The Status Bar has three sections.
In the left portion the current cursor selection is often identified, for an example of this go to the Chart Tool help topic.
Note - The user can disable the display of the some of the screen, refer to the help for each element for further details.
The start page is configured by default to display the tiled work area shown above.
Quotes collect data for specified symbols and display the data in a format chosen by the user. Quotes are arranged by the user in groups, and the data is updated daily.
Each quoted symbol, and each group, can have indicators assigned to show how it is performing in the market.
Quote lists are groups of Quotes, arranged by users in a meaningful way, often by index or industry.
A separate window contains the Quote lists, select a new Quote List to replace the one currently displayed in the Quotes window.

Portfolios list symbols in which the user has a financial position. The value/profit/loss position of each holding can be displayed.
The holdings can be grouped by the user in a variety of ways.

Chart pages are the individual charts which a user has saved. Charts have a base symbol, but may contain other symbols as well as tool output, notes, indicators, and other data or features that the user has saved.
Whenever a chart page is opened its data is updated.

Enter in the stock and market conditions and click a strategy.
OptionGear will use its inbuilt wizards to find trades that meet the wizard's criteria.

The remote action window lets you view all of the requests for data that you have made for the current session. The window can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on the arrow on the top right of the window.
The instrument code and the exchange are displayed as well as the time the data was requested and the time it was returned. A response highlighted in amber shows requests that have not been returned. A green entry indicates successfully returned requests while a red entry indicates a request that has failed. The cog at the top left of the window will rotate when data is being accessed.
You can toggle the window on or off by clicking the Show Remote Action checkbox in the View menu.
The Start Page opens by default in Page Monitor Mode.
The Page Monitor list is also open by default.
The access panel has a number of tools and display modes.

The Remote Action Monitor gives a graphic display of current data download activity.
You can return to the Start Page at any time by clicking the Start Page Icon at the top of the Page Monitor list (assuming you have not closed it):
You can always display it by clicking the Start Page command in the View Menu.
