Option Chain Action Menu

As with other tables, the Option Chain table's Action menu contains commands that affect the calculation and display of the table and the option series contained in it:

Actions for individual option series are also accessible from this menu. Left mouse click to select an options series from the table, the option series symbol will then populate the Actions for "Symbol" command. Click on it to open the sub-menu for that symbol.

The following commands are available on the Action menu:

Model

Use this command to open the Option Model dialog box.

From this dialog the choice of pricing models can be set, this will affect price calculations as well as the model price and Greeks, if you have included them in the table's current view.

Manual Volatilities

Use this command to set individual volatility levels for each option series in the table.

The system data volatility data can be manually altered in the Volatilities dialog box. Click on the Manual Volatilities command to open this dialog for the current underlying security.

Configure View...

The data fields displayed in the columns of the Options Chain table can be altered by the user, saved for future use, and applied using the function bar's View Selector drop-down menu.

Creating and applying Custom Views is part of the common functionality known as Shared Utilities.

Actions for "Option Series"

When an Option series is selected, the following submenu commands become enabled for that symbol:

Price Data

Click on this command to open a Price Data window for the symbol.

Price Charts

Click on this command to open a Price Chart for the symbol.

Option Graphs

Click on this command to open an Option Graph for the symbol.

Information

Click on this command to open the Detailed Symbol Information dialog box for the symbol.

Buy

Use this command to directly Buy the selected option through an OptionsXPress account.

Sell

Use this command to directly Sell the selected option through an OptionsXPress account.

Click Help to open this topic.
