Trading Plan Trade Statistics

Similar to the Trading Plan Diary report, this report summarizes the results of the ABC trades you have made using the SITM Module's ABC Trading Plans.

For each trade, data on the results of the trade is collected in the Summary tabbed page of each Trading Plan Wizard. The details on these pages are calculated from the entries made on the previous tabbed pages in the Wizard. Data. For more information, go to the Trading Plans Wizard help topic.

The Trading Plan Trade Statistics Report is based on the results contained in Summary tabbed pages of each Trading Plan Wizard:

The report comprises three sections

The settings table sets out the basis on which the report it calculated and its scope.

These parameters are set in the Trading Plan Trade Statistics Report dialog box, see below.

Trading Plan Summary

The Trading Plan Summary includes the total number of ABC Trades that fall into the scope of the report.

From that group it identities the number that were profitable versus the number that were not, and the number that were long versus the number that were short.

The results are displayed as a Value (the number of individual trades that fall into each category) and % (the percentage of trades that fall into the specified category).

Financial Results Summary

The Financial Results Summary gives actual dollar amounts for the group.

A Total Profit/Loss figure is first given, the average loss for losing trades and the average gain for gainers.

The value of largest winner and loser are then displayed.

The actual Profit/Loss is displayed in dollar figures as well as in points.

The Point Size for each trading plan can be set in the Summary page of the Trading Plan Wizard.

The Brokerage expenses were not included in the above figures.

The last two lines of this section display the total brokerage for all trades and average brokerage for each trade is calculated and displayed.

You can use these performance summaries to compare your trading activities and improve your trading over time.

Use the print preview toolbar to scroll through or zoom in/out to review the contents. Use the Settings and Refresh buttons to change the scope and contents of the report. Use the Print and Print Setup buttons to print the report in the required fashion.
