Chart Page Properties

There are several properties you can set to customize the look of the background an common elements of your chart pages.

Double-click with your left mouse button on a blank section of the chart page to display the Chart Properties dialog box. It has seven tabbed pages containing display controls.

Alternatively, right click to open the pop-up menu, and select Chart Properties to open the dialog box shown below.

Bar Spacing

Increase or decrease the spacing provided between each bar in the graph. (An alternative is to use the compression and expansion icons at the far left edge of the function bar.)

Right Margin

Set the space between the most recent interval in the chart and the right price axis (or right margin if no right price axis).

Display Gaps in Data

Draw the chart showing any gaps that exist in your downloaded data, for instance weekends, holidays and missing data. This option is only available for daily charts.

Display Weekends

Draw the chart as a seven day week rather than the usual five. This option is only available for daily charts.

Display Series Labels

Display chart title and all indicator titles in the top left corner of the chart. They will be displayed in the Chart Font.

Display time and price of cursor

Check the box to display the date and price of the cursor in the x-axis and y-axis. This display is similar to the cross-hairs display, except that the cross-hairs are not displayed.

Prompt to save on modify

If checked, a prompt will appear each time the user tries to close a Price Chart's work page that contains un-saved changes made during the current session. The prompt will ask whether the changes are to be saved.

If not checked, closing a Price Chart's work page will result in all un-saved changes made during the current session to be lost. The user will have to remember to click the save butn_save.gif button prior to closing the work page if the recent changes are to be saved.

Note - This setting will not affect the treatment of all open work pages when Your SOFTWARE is closed.

A prompt will appear advising that unsaved changes exist, and whether the user wishes to save them prior to exiting.

Compression

Select the interval that each bar should represent: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Always Unlock charts on open

Check this check-box to allow the cursor to move and resize the chart. Refer to the Lock chart help topic for more information.

Allows you to modify the color of the chart, either a single color, or gradient filled.

Single Color

The Chart Page's background color can be selected from the color picker, or from the custom color selector.
