Print a Chart

Select the Print Area

The print function will print exactly what currently appears in the chart page. If the Main Window is resized and smaller than full screen, the chart page will be stretched to fill a full printed page.

Before printing, use the Zoom, Increase/Decrease spacing, reset scales, or unlock the chart page and drag the chart or price axis, to display exactly the part of the chart page, and any additional components, that you want printed.

Print Preview, see below, will show exactly what will be printed.

Print

To print the Chart Page, click Print button located in the Chart Page Properties Pop-up Menu or the Action Menu on the chart page's Function Bar.

The Print dialog box will appear.

The Printer / Name drop-down list contains all the printers currently installed on, or available to, the local PC.

When a new printer is selected from the list, the Status:, Type:Where: and Comment: (if any) fields are populated.

Click the Properties button to see the options available for the selected printer.

Each printer will have a different properties page, depending on its capabilities and settings.

Page Range

Charts print on a single page, All is the only option for printing chart pages.

Copies

Set the number of copies to be printed.

Collate will not need to be set, charts print on a single page.

Select the Print Area

The Print function will print exactly what appears in the chart page window of the PC.

Use the Zoom, Increase/Decrease spacing, reset scales, or unlock the chart page and drag and drop, to display exactly the part of the chart page, and any additional components, that you want printed.

Print Preview

Preview the print to confirm that the data selected is correct.

Use the navigation buttons and magnification controls on the Print Preview tool bar to preview all the pagers or areas of the print job:

Users can also modify the printer settings, or begin the print itself, directly from the preview screen by using the tool buttons.

If you are not satisfied with the print job, close the Print Preview and resize or reformat the chart page before previewing again.
