Install Metastock Database

Last updated:

The Metastock charting program is a very popular 3rd party program with it's own data format. Your SOFTWARE supports distributing data to this format for use with a metastock program.

This guide shows you how to install your Metastock Historical data into Your SOFTWARE's internal database.

Note: Ensure that  the Hubb INT format Metastock Historical data CD is inserted on the computer DVD/CDROM drive.

Installing Metastock Historical Data

In Your SOFTWARE click on Tools located  at the top menus.

Then click on Maintenance from the drop-down menu list. Then click on Historical Data Copy Wizard on the sub menu list.

This will launch the Historical Data Copy Wizard.

Select the DVD/CDROM drive where the Fundamental historical data CD is inserted under the CD Rom Drive drop down box then click the Next button.

Click on the preferred Metastock format and then click the Next button.

Check the markets you want to install then click the Next button.

Note: Be mindful of the hard drive space required to install the historical data CD. Ensure that you have enough hard drive space to install the historical data CD.

Enter the destination of the 3rd party charting database. If you want to use the existing 3rd party charting database, check the Overwrite Existing Database then click the Next button.

Note: It is better to leave the default destination for the 3rd party charting database. You need to check Overwrite Existing Database.

Note: If you encounter a Hubb software dialog box, read the reminder then click the Yes button to continue.

The Metastock historical data CD installation will start. Wait for the installation to complete then you will be asked whether you would like to build data from the last date of the CD. Click an option then click the Next button.

A reminder will be displayed. Read the reminder then click the Next button. Then click the Finish button.
